A federal grand jury indicted Andre Brickhouse, a 34-year-old man from Milton, Delaware, on March 17 for unlawfully possessing a firearm and ammunition.
The case is significant because Brickhouse is prohibited from owning firearms or ammunition due to a prior felony conviction. The indictment alleges that on December 9, 2025, Brickhouse was found with a 9mm handgun that had its serial number removed, along with a large-capacity magazine and 21 rounds of ammunition.
Brickhouse faces one count of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited under federal law. If convicted, he could receive up to 15 years in prison. However, the actual sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors.
U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace and Special Agent in Charge Charles Doerrer of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Baltimore Field Division announced the indictment. The investigation was conducted by ATF and the Laurel Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Corey J. Hauser is prosecuting the case.
Court documents related to this case can be found on the website of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware or through PACER by searching for Case No. 1:26-cr-45.
Authorities remind that an indictment contains only accusations and that Brickhouse is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
